BuCor OIC Catapang enforces 'one-strike policy' vs erring staff, officials

BUREAU of Corrections (BuCor) officer-in-charge (OIC) Gen. Gregorio Pio Punzalan Catapang Jr. said he will implement a 'one-strike policy' against officials involved in irregularities in jail management and operations.

'We don't want to get to the point of who will guard the guardians. Hopefully we can fix this,' said Catapang in a radio interview on Saturday morning, stressing the policy was part of his reformative programs for the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City.
