The hunger rate in the Philippines "hardly moved" from the second to the third quarter of 2022, according to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) conducted during President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.'s first few months in office.
Results of an SWS survey from September 29 to October 2 – the first under Marcos – showed 11.3 percent of Filipino families or around 2.9 million had nothing to eat at least once in the past three months, almost similar to the 11.6 percent hunger rate in June 2022.
