TRADE Secretary Alfredo Pascual said that innovation, and research and development (R&D) will play a critical role in terms of policy implementation for the various sustainable frameworks that the government will put into place in the future.
During the first panel session of the European Union Sustainable Investment Summit with the theme "Striving for Transparency Globally" on Oct. 28, 2022 in Brussels, Belgium, Pascual acknowledged that the current regulations are not enough to curb carbon emissions and promote a sustainable economy, as there is still plenty to be done in order to convince the public and change their mindset.
