CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro: The local government said that more than 180 tourists were stranded in the province as travel by sea or air stopped because of Tropical Storm Paeng.
Vincent Gahol, head of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, told The Manila Times on Monday that the 180 tourists from Bay, Laguna were stranded in a resort in Puerto Galera. Three more tourists, one from Pampanga and two from Laguna, were stranded in Oro Beach Hotel and four from Tacloban and one from Manila were stranded in Seacliff Suites, both in Pinamalayan town.
