THE state-run weather agency said on Tuesday that "Queenie" has weakened into a tropical depression as it continues moving westward in the next 12 hours over the Philippine Sea east of Mindanao.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa said in its 11 a.m. bulletin that the tropical depression will continue to weaken and may become a remnant low within 12 hours.
