THE city government of Parañaque received a check amounting to P4,754,342.65 personally given by Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Melquiades Robles to Mayor Eric Olivarez during the former's courtesy visit at the Office of the Mayor in Parañaque City Hall on Oct. 20, 2022.According to PCSO, this amount was the Parañaque LGU's small town lottery (STL) share for the second quarter of the year 2022.Olivarez expressed his gratitude to the government organization and said that the donation would be used for the financial assistance programs of the LGU, such as medical and educational assistance.'Parañaque City is thankful to the PCSO for their donation to the city. This is a big help to the city residents as this can be used for their medical needs and the like,' the city mayor stated.Also present during the turnover ceremony were Parañaque City District 1 Rep. Edwin Olivarez, City Administrator Voltaire dela Cruz, City Treasurer Anthony Pulmano, NCR Department Manager Eufracio Fufugal Jr., and Charity Assistance Department Manager Marissa Medrano.Meanwhile, Mayor Olivarez administered the oath-taking ceremony of the Day Care Parents Group (DCPG) on October 18 at San Antonio Valley 5 Covered Court in Barangay San Antonio.In the event, Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) officers of the 19 daycare centers across Barangay San Antonio and General PTA officers of the said barangay took an oath before the mayor.Apart from the oath-taking ceremony, the city also formally launched the DCPG Modern Dance Contest where 19 dance groups from Barangay San Antonio competed for a chance to win a cash prize and the opportunity to compete against the representatives of the remaining 15 barangay (villages) of the city.
