Parañaque LGU lays down cemeteries' guidelines for Undas 2022

THE city government of Parañaque has allowed visitors to pay respects to their departed loved ones in the city's public cemeteries from October 29 to November 1 during this year's 'Undas.'As recommended by Paranaque's Taskforce Undas approved by Mayor Eric Olivarez, visitors can visit public cemeteries on Oct. 29 and 30 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m, while the cemeteries would also be open 24 hours on October 31 and November 1.The city government would also implement a one-way entrance and exit system for all public cemeteries. Further, it has laid down some guidelines for visitors, including the prohibition of bringing alcoholic drinks, littering, bringing fire-induced equipment (except matches for the lighting of candles), carrying illegal drugs and sharp objects, using loud music and equipment and gambling.Visitors who are sick or who display signs of illness such as coughing, runny nose etc. will not be permitted to enter the public cemeteries. Entrance of vehicles inside the cemeteries will also not be permitted on October 31 and November 1.The LGU added that they would deploy groups consisting of the Parañaque City Police Station and personnel from the City Health Office, Traffic Management Office, Local Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, General Services Office, Health Emergency Management Service, Bureau of Fire Protection, and City Environment and Natural Resources Office to ensure safety and order in public cemeteries.As for the city's private cemeteries, such as Manila Memorial Park and Loyola Memorial Park, the Taskforce Undas would be coordinating with their management for proper observance and assistance during these important dates for Filipinos.
