TROPICAL Storm "Paeng" has slightly intensified as it is likely to make landfall on Friday night over Northern Samar then may traverse and directly affect Bicol Region late night until early Saturday morning, according to the state-run weather agency.

In its 5 p.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Signal No. 2 is up over Metro Manila, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate including Ticao Island and Burias Islands, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Marinduque, Quezon including Pollilo Islands, the southern portion of Aurora (San Luis, Baler, Dingalan), the south-eastern portion of Nueva Ecija (Gabaldon, General Tinio, City of Gapan, Cabiao, San Isidro and Pe), Laguna, Batangas, Cavite, Rizal, Bulacan, the eastern portion of Pampanga (Candaba, San Luis, San Simon and Apalit), the northern and central portions of Oriental Mindoro (Puerto Galera, San Teodoro, Baco, City of Calapan, Naujan, Victoria, Pola, Socorro, Pinamalayan, Gloria, Bansud, Bongabong and Roxas) and Romblon in Luzon.
