31 dead as 'Paeng' brings heavy rains

(UPDATE) HEAVY rains spawned by approaching Storm 'Paeng' (International Name: 'Nalgae') and the prevailing northeast monsoon left at least 31 people dead in Maguindanao, an official of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARRM) reported Friday.

BARMM Interior and Local Government Minister and Bangsamoro Rapid Emergency Action on Disaster Incidence Chief Naguib Sinarimbo said the death toll could still go up as more reports from the field come in.
