Price of rice stable despite typhoons – DA

A DEPARTMENT of Agriculture (DA) official said that there is no reason to increase the price of rice in wet markets despite the agricultural damage the country sustained from three consecutive typhoons.

'We don't expect any movement in the prices of rice this fourth quarter based on our supply outlook,' Assistant Secretary for Consumer Affairs and DA spokesman Kristine Evangelista said in a radio interview.
