PSEi posts best finish in over a month

THE stock market returned the 6,200 level on Thursday, its best finish in over a month, as investors cheered continued peso gains and a narrower government budget deficit.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) closed the day at 6,230.58, up 109.5 points, or 1.78 percent. The last time the PSEi ended higher was on September 23 when it hit 6,259.54.
