US, PH mull 5 more 'Edca sites' to boost disaster response capability

WASHINGTON: The United States (US) and the Philippines aim to increase to 10, from five, the sites for the implementation of their Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (Edca) for better disaster response capability and joint training.

A senior US defense official revealed this on Wednesday when visiting Filipino journalists asked about any update on the Edca between Manila and Washington.
