Zamboanga mayor eyes P96M confidential funds

ZAMBOANGA CITY: Mayor John Dalipe is asking the City Council to approve the P96 million confidential funds for 2023, which is almost 500 percent higher than the previous administration's P22 million fund.

Councilor Joselito Macrohon has questioned the staggering amount of confidential funds the new mayor is requesting during a recent session, saying it is even higher than other local government offices. He cited that the budget of the City Agriculture Office is only P84 million.
