ABOUT 1.4 million residents in Central Luzon are poor in 2021, based on a report by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), saying that development policies must be carried out.
The figure represented 11 out of 100 individuals in the region as being poor as a result of the Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES) 2021, suggesting that the poverty incidence in Central Luzon stood at 11.4 percent.
