(UPDATE) About 61,000 families were affected and 44 people were injured when a magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck the province of Abra on Tuesday night, government disaster agencies said on Thursday.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said of the total injured, 12 were from Region 1 (Ilocos) and 32 from the Cordillera Autonomous Region (CAR).
