Peso improves to P58.43:$1

THE peso closed at P58.43 to the dollar on Wednesday, its best finish so far for the month.

The currency gained 35 centavos from Tuesday, with analysts saying that it had benefited from a dollar correction, lower US bond yields, and local stock market gains, among others.
