PSEi sustains gains on bargain hunting

THE Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) remained at the 6,000 level on Tuesday amid positive cues from Wall Street overnight as investors anticipate third-quarter earnings.

The benchmark PSEi extended its gains, surging by 44.62 points, or 0.74 percent, to close at 6,073.41, while the broader All Shares index went up by 16.45 points, or 0.51 points, to finish at 3,233.12.
