(Update) THE Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and the Canned Sardines Association of the Philippines (CSAP) on Monday signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to prevent the looming shortage of tamban (sardines) during the closed fishing season starting in December.
To prevent this, the agreement will tap municipal fishermen in supplying the fish requirements of 72 million kilos during the three-month ban.
