PRESIDENT Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.'s recent meeting with officials of two telecommunications companies — one local and another from South Korea — was aimed at improving connectivity in the Philippines, a Cabinet official reiterated.

Information and Communications Secretary Ivan Uy said discussions during the October 15 meeting with broadband provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. and South Korean telco giant KT Corp. focused on lessons learned from South Korea's digital transformation, industry issues and the Philippines' own requirements.
