THE head of the leading app-based ride-hailing service in the Philippines is calling for a redefinition and recognition of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the country, saying these are "hidden gems" that are yet to be realized.
"One thing that is a hidden gem that we have to really explore is MSMEs. But the first thing we need to do is to redefine what an MSME is," Angkas Chief Executive Officer George Royeca said during a recent business forum organized by The Manila Times.
