IN celebration of International Coastal Cleanup Day, Republic Cement’s official co-processing and resource recovery group, ecoloop, partnered with Pure Oceans for a Closed Loop Cleanup in Tingloy, Batangas. During the day, Republic Cement employees, along with other volunteers and community members, collected, segregated, and properly disposed of 252 kg of ocean trash. 94 kg of the collected marine litter was qualified waste, which was turned over to ecoloop for co-processing as an alternative fuel. The initiative is part of Republic Cement’s commitment toward a greener environment by providing alternative waste management solutions, especially for end-of-life plastics, and embedding sustainability all throughout our value chain to build a greener, Stronger Republic.
