A MAGNITUDE 5.5 earthquake took place on Wednesday afternoon in Davao del Sur where Intensity 4 was felt in Davao City and General Santos City, according to an advisory of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Phivolcs chief Teresito Bacolcol told The Manila Times that the tremor occurred around 4:05 p.m. some 6 kilometers south-west of Matanao, also in the province.
