PRESIDENT Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. on Wednesday tasked the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) to continue its efforts in securing the country's "maritime jurisdiction" as he vowed to continue to give his full support for its expansion and modernization efforts.
In his speech during the PCG's 121st founding anniversary, Marcos acknowledged that the members of coast guard have taken on "many new duties" beyond their turf, as they are now "in the frontline in the defense of our maritime territory, in defense of our economic zones, in defense of our baselines."
