LINGAYEN, Pangasinan: In what could be a show of support to Pangasinan's ownership of the mountain village of Malico in San Nicolas town, tribal chieftains of the different Indigenous Peoples (IP) groups in the Ilocos Region will gather in Barangay Malico on Wednesday, October 19, for a regional IP summit.
Dr. Enrique de los Santos Jr., head of the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples in Pangasinan, said that the summit will be held to celebrate this year's IP Month and the 25th year anniversary of the signing into law of the Indigenous Peoples' Rights Act (IPRA) of 1997.
