HYUNDAI Motor Group (HMG) announced in its Unlock the Software Age global forum on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022, that it will produce Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV) in its lineup by 2025, as part of a new global strategy that will also include vehicles from Kia as well as its premium luxury brand Genesis.

The initiative will deliver a new, unprecedented era of mobility, according to HMG, giving the customers the freedom to customize and improve the performance of their vehicles in real time through software updates, and enable better customer experience with their vehicles without the need to take or deliver them into service centers.
