GOVERNMENT authorities have declared Davao Oriental free from insurgency during a ceremony attended by Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Jose Faustino Jr., Gov. Corazon Nuñez-Malanyaon, and top military officials based in the province.
Faustino and Nuñez-Malanyaon led in declaring the province free from insurgents at the provincial capitol in Mati City on Friday, according to 10th Infantry "Agila" Division Commander Maj. Gen. Nolasco Mempin.
