by The Manila Times
Oct 15, 2022 12:01 am
Members of Dumagat-Remontado indigenous peoples have started to dump boulders at the unpaved roads in Sitio Manggahan Barangay Laiban in Tanay, Rizal, on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022. The Dumagat tribe has volunteered to put boulders as a quick fix to the usually muddy roads to the Sierra Madre mountain range leading to their homes. Sitio official Nardo Astovesa said locals have resorted to ‘bayanihan’every typhoon season to cope with the calamity. PHOTO BY MIKE DE JUAN
