NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

It has come to The Manila Times' knowledge that there are certain individuals and entities who have been misrepresenting themselves to be connected with the company. They even went as far as committing identity theft by claiming to be high ranking officers of The Manila Times. These unscrupulous individuals have threatened the publication of defamatory articles against persons, and have demanded for the payment of sum of money in exchange for not publishing the said articles and/or for The Manila Times to allegedly publish a paid ad to tell their side of the story.

The public is warned that The Manila Times has not authorized any individual or institution to demand the payment of any consideration to perform any such acts. As a stern advocate of responsible and ethical journalism, The Manila Times, its officers, agents, employees and representatives will not use the newspaper for any unethical means, especially not to extort money from any person.
