Campaign for healthy schools launched

THE Department of Education (DepEd) and the Department of Health (DoH) launched the Healthy Learning Institutions program with the aim of strengthening school health and nutrition programs across the country.

In a ceremony held at the Quirino High School on Tuesday, Education Undersecretary for Governance and Field Operations Revsee Escobedo said that the Healthy Learning Institutions framework was based on the World Health Organizations' six pillars of health-promoting schools.
