'Let courts decide on de Lima cases'

(UPDATE) PRESIDENT Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. will not interfere in the case of former senator Leila de Lima and will let the courts decide on whether the detained lawmaker will be given home furlough, Malacañang said Tuesday.

Office of the Press Secretary Officer in Charge Cheloy Garafil made the statement after the President's sister, Sen. Maria Imelda Josefa 'Imee' Marcos, urged de Lima to take a extended home furlough after she was briefly taken hostage at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center on Sunday.
