INSURANCE company Manulife announced the appointment of Rahul Hora as president and chief executive officer of Manulife Philippines. Hora's appointment took effect on October 3, and he will be Manulife Global Leadership Team member, reporting directly to Sachin Shah, general manager for emerging markets of Manulife.

Hora is an award-winning insurance industry veteran with extensive experience in the Philippines and across Asia. He previously held distribution roles at the market and regional levels for another insurance giant — AXA. He also led their life and non-life insurance operations in the Philippines.
