Foreign investment crucial — Marcos

IMMEDIATELY after he was sworn into office, President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. went to work to resuscitate the pandemic-hit economy by wooing foreign investors.

In his first State of the Nation Address in July, Marcos totally discarded lockdowns as a measure against Covid-19 — a decision hailed by the majority of the population particularly the business community.
