Signal No. 1 up in 6 areas in Luzon as LPA becomes tropical depression 'Maymay'

THE low pressure area (LPA) off Aurora has turned into a tropical depression named 'Maymay' as Signal No. 1 was raised over at least six Luzon provinces, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Tuesday.

Weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said the storm alert was up over Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, and the extreme northern portion of Quezon (General Nakar, Infanta), including Pollilo Islands.
