LEGAZPI CITY: A pyroclastic flow is imminent as the lava dome of Mayon Volcano grew from 40,000 cubic meters in 2019 to 48,000 cubic meters on Monday, Paul Alanis, Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) resident volcanologist in Bicol told The Manila Times.
It will endanger the lives of the people who will violate the imposed six-kilometer radius no man's land in the southeast quadrant of Legazpi and Sto. Domingo town, he said.
