BACOLOD CITY: Evacuees from the armed conflict between government forces and communist rebels in the hinterland villages in Himamaylan City rose to 15,024, a report from the Provincial Social Welfare Development Office showed.
The report, submitted by Merle Garcia, provincial social welfare officer, on Monday, October 10, to Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson, said there are 3,543 families of which 3,061 are from Barangay Carabalan, 454 from Barangay Cabadiangan and 28 from Barangay 3.
