United States-based entrepreneur France Malvar misses a lot of Filipino traditions but one that tops her list are the curated markets or "tianges" as we fondly call them that pop up in Metro Manila closer to the Christmas season.
She enthused, "Growing up, I'd often frequent curated markets. As an entrepreneur (France is the owner of Lu France Interiors), I'd often join pop-ups and it reminded me of similar markets in the Philippines. However, I've always longed for a well curated market that really honed in on Filipino owned brands who have similar values that I believe in."
