PH, EU reaffirm to uphold human rights

THE Philippines and the European Union have reaffirmed their dedication to uphold human rights during the Second Sub-Committee Meeting on Good Governance, Rule of Law and Human Rights under the EU–Philippines Partnership and Cooperation Agreement in Manila on October 6.

The joint commitment statement said that two sides will protect human rights defenders from violence and harassment, as well as ensure freedom for civil society.
