PRESIDENT Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. assured the public that he was working with all concerned government agencies after Albay's Mayon Volcano was placed under Alert Level 2.

Marcos, in a statement posted on Twitter, also encouraged the public to be careful in light of the Mayon's increasing unrest. He said he has been coordinating with the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), and concerned local government units (LGUs) to ensure readiness.
