Telcos ordered to resume text blasts

AS scam or smishing messages continue, the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) directed the country's telcos — Globe Telecoms, Smart Communications and DITO Telecommunity — to continue sending out text blast warnings to their subscribers.

According to the NTC, public awareness is much needed that is why the text blast should continue in order to educate the subscribers against the personalized scam messages.
