Analyst sees need to impose fiscal program

AN economist said the government might need to enforce its fiscal program to improve the state's fiscal health to improve the country's budget gap.

Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. chief economist Michael Ricafort made the statement after the government reported a lower budget deficit last August at P72 billion, a 40.43-percent drop from last year's P121 billion deficit.
