PH posts P28.5-B loss in intl investments

THE country's net international investment position registered a net liability of $28.50 billion as of the second quarter of 2022, lower by 9.9 percent than the $31.60 billion recorded in the first quarter of this year.

According to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas' (BSP) 'Second Quarter 2022 Developments' statement, it said that this was mainly driven by the contraction in external financial liabilities (5.2 percent), which outpaced that of external financial assets (4.6 percent).
