THE Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) said Wednesday that the Philippine peso's weakness versus the dollar might trigger a water rate hike next year.
MWSS made the announcement in a virtual briefing after it removed the Foreign Currency Differential Adjustment (FCDA) from customer bills of Manila Water Co. Inc. and Maynilad Water Service Inc. in 2021, and converted these into "transitory adjustment."
