FIVE rescuers died during a rescue mission in San Miguel, Bulacan at the height of the onslaught of Super Typhoon Karding on Sunday, Governor Daniel Fernando said on Monday.
"Actually, lima 'yan. Apat na ngayon ang confirmed dead. Mga team natin sa PDRRMO. Mga empleyado po natin 'yun (there were five. Four have been confirmed dead. They are from our PDRRMO team. They were our employees)," the governor said in a television interview, referring to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.
