Pangilinan seeks stronger PPPs

BUSINESSMAN Manuel Pangilinan said his group of companies will strengthen public-private partnerships (PPP) to help push economic progress in the new normal.

At the first-ever hybrid National PR Congress held recently, which featured him as one of the keynote speakers, Pangilinan emphasized the importance of PPP in boosting economic growth under the new administration.

Metro Pacific Investments Corp. Chairman Manuel Pangilinan (inset) affirms that the newly constructed 8.5-kilometer infrastructure project that connects mainland Cebu to the municipality of Cordova in Mactan Island is ‘a product of the hearts, minds and hands of Cebuanos.’ The project, undertaken and developed by the Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corp., a subsidiary company of MPTC, envisions the expressway not only as an infrastructure to decongest traffic in the two existing bridges of Cebu but also as a tool to increase the economic activities in Cebu and the Visayas Region. It is expected to be completed in December 2021. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO
