NDRRMC recommends class, work suspension in several regions

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Sunday asked President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to suspend classes and work in government in several regions expected to be affected by Super Typhoon Karding.

In a letter addressed to the President, Defense Senior Undersecretary and NDRRMC Chairperson Jose Faustino Jr. said that the recommended suspension 'will prevent untoward incidents and will ensure the safety of the general public.'
