IZUMI, Japan: Millions of people in Japan received evacuation warnings on Monday as Typhoon "Nanmadol" brought strong winds and heavy rain to the country's southwest after making landfall overnight.
The powerful storm has weakened since hitting land on Sunday night around the city of Kagoshima in the southwestern region of Kyushu, but it has still uprooted trees, smashed windows, and left rivers close to overflowing.
