Marcos to OFWs: Invest in PH

NEW JERSEY: President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. on Sunday (Monday in Manila) urged overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) to support tourism and invest in the country to 'help bring the Philippines to heights it has not reached before.'

Speaking before the members of the Filipino community at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Marcos acknowledged OFWs for their sacrifices and contribution to the economy during the coronavirus pandemic.

President Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr. met with the Filipino community at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center on Sunday. Marcos will be the first Southeast Asian head of state to deliver a statement at the 77th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Tuesday afternoon, and around 3 AM Wednesday, September 21, 2022 in Manila time.
