Smith seizes LIV Golf Chicago lead

CHICAGO: Reigning British Open champion Cameron Smith of Australia closed with back-to-back birdies to grab a three-stroke lead after Saturday's (Sunday in Manila) second round of the LIV Golf Chicago Invitational.

World No. 3 Smith fired a four-under par 68 to stand on 10-under 134 after 36 holes in the 54-hole shotgun start event at Rich Harvest Farms.
