(UPDATE) PRESIDENT Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos on Sunday left for a weeklong working visit to the United States, which will be highlighted by his attendance to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York City.

"I depart today to participate in the High-Level Week of the 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, where I will also attend a number of bilateral meetings and business engagements and meet with, of course, the Filipino community," the President said in his pre-departure speech.
