Lawmakers seek P2B for proposed virology institute

CAMARINES Sur lawmakers led by National Unity Party (NUP) leader Luis Raymund 'LRay' Villafuerte asked Congress to set aside an initial P2 billion research fund for the proposed Philippine Virology Science and Technology Institute (VIP).

This is an effort to turn the Philippines into a self-sufficient, vaccine-producing nation that is equipped to handle future public health emergencies.
